In collaboration with Jean-Olivier DEFRAIGNE, Helena KUIVANIEMI & Jean-Baptiste MICHEL, we are proud to organize the second International Meeting on Aortic Diseases in Liège (a medieval city in the heart of Europe) on September 30 & October 1-2, 2010.
The past five decades have been marked by continuing progress in the diagnosis, management and timing of surgery. More recently, endovascular repair has been compared with the conventional surgical approach.
Hopefully, the coming decades will allow preventive strategies in patients found to be as high risk by genomic and/or imaging techniques. This meeting will therefore be focused on the basic research on pathophysiology, new diagnostic tools and treatment of aortic valves and diseases of the aortic tree.
Hoping to share with you an enriching meeting in Belgium, we look forward to welcoming you in Liège.
